Hobart-Waterfront-Tasmania

Day 1 – Hobart to Cradle Mountain

A real welcome to Tasmania day – It’s a lot different from what most people think. Leave Hobart and travel through the midlands where many historic convict towns are located amongst vast farming areas. Stopping for a famous curried Scallop pie (seafood) and delicious local honey, you will be ready to experience the Cradle Mountain National Park which lies on the edge of the World Heritage Listed Area. In the evening you can have an extra tour to see Tasmanian Devils.

Day 2 – Cradle Mountain to Launceston

After taking a refreshing walk around the impressive Dove lake at the base of Cradle Mountain, we head off through rich countryside to replenish our energy at an awarded chocolate factory and also a cheese factory en route to Launceston.

East Coast Tasmania

 

Day 3 – Launceston to Bicheno

Welcome to the East Coast of Tasmania. A stark difference from the wilderness, the blinding white sands and blue pacific ocean are a warming experience before visiting a local wildlife park to see the Tasmanian Devil, Kangaroos and other local animals.During the evening of summer months, you can have an extra tour to visit the local penguins after eating local seafood for dinner.

Day 4 – Wineglass to Port Arthur

Taste wines and shuck some delicious, flavoursome oysters after walking to the lookout over a highly photographed Wineglass Bay in the Freycinet National Park. En-route we also enjoy visiting a vineyard or two to celebrate your holiday and our Internationally acclaimed cool climate wines before heading south to the Tasman Peninsula and an optional Ghost Tour at the Port Arthur Penitentiary.

Day 5 – Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur

Get personal with our spectacular Tasman Peninsula and our daunting convict history at Port Arthur. The peninsula is packed full of activities, scenic delights and hidden treasures that only our guests get to experience. There’s endless blue oceans abundant with life; fresh coastal air; incredible rock formations; rich eucalypt forests; numerous singing birds; soft, white and warm sandy beaches; convict ruins and tales to chill your spine; friendly locals and fairy-tale like scenery that brings warmth to your heart. A guided tour through the Penitentiary and a boat cruise around the Isle of Dead brings history to life before returning to Hobart through Richmond Historical Village.
