Wine Tour

Internationally acclaimed and highly sought after, Tasmanian wines are worthy of investigation. Technically speaking, the wine industry here is the oldest in Australia as some vines are aged a wrinkly 180 years. Our cool climate concentrates growing towards Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties but Cabernet Sauvignon, Reisling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Traminer grow with success in our warmer regions.

Our wine tour explores a range of wines as we knock on cellar doors of some truly fascinating vineyards – Moorilla, Stefano Lubiana, Domain A, Meadowbank, Frogmore Creek, Palmara, Coal Valley, Derwent Estate, Laurel Bank and Craigow. Each vineyard has it’s own unique style and simply visiting them is an interesting topic in itself.

For lunch we venture into historic Richmond town where there are numerous quality options.
